"Our why stems from an experience we had In the early stages of building our brand which then, didn’t know better and tried to outsource cheap markets overseas."
As we looked into Bangladesh and had a sales rep do the outsourcing, we had minimal information of who, what, and where our product would be produced. Two weeks before production we found out on world news Rana Plaza garment factory collapse in Dhaka. After the devastating events out in Bangladesh and the mist of production, the brand was struck with the unprecedented task of having to look for a new manufacture. Having to recover from lost time and finances, we proceeded with our journey with a new mind set. Unbeknownst to us, a cultural shift was in the horizon. Deciding we will only work with certified ethical factories focused on sustainability and fair trade. Our brands mission is to create awareness and educate our communities around the world on sustainable practices to collaborate & design product made by ethical factories. It’s a matter of how we separate ourselves from a content standpoint and tell the story as an authority.
